St. Conal’s N.S. is a welcoming and hardworking, mixed-gender, rural DEIS school which strives to provide a caring, happy and secure environment where the intellectual, spiritual, physical and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and addressed. Our mission will be effective only with the support of parents/guardians.
While St. Conal’s is a Catholic School with a Catholic ethos, it has due recognition and respect for all other religious beliefs.
The school models and transmits a way of life inspired by belief in God and in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Mary, His mother is admired as the exemplar of these values. We will endeavour to enhance the self-esteem of everyone in the school community, instil in the pupils respect for people and property and foster in them the idea of being responsible citizens.
We have ample grounds around the school, with two large football pitches, a substantial tarmacked school yard, a well-tended garden and a general purpose room. We have three classroom teachers, two S.E.N. teachers and two Special Needs Assistants. The school’s annual literacy and numeracy results are consistently excellent and the school takes part in competitions promoting science and mathematics, computer programming, athletics, Gaelic football, the environment, art, English creative writing and the Irish language.  Tuition is sourced in the areas of digital literacy, singing, aquatics, basketball, RINKA, golf, Gaelic football and tin whistle when available funds permit.
We look forward to meeting any parent interested in seeing what we have to offer.
